Welcome back to Term 4

Special welcome to.... Luke, Tyson, Jax and Te Hua tahi

The first two weeks back at school we are looking at FRACTIONS.  We are learning about halves and quarters or one-fourths.

Tyson and Te Hua tahi have helped solve some fraction problems in maths this week.

Writers to Celebrate this Week

Riley and Zayden are writing well.  Riley is recording lots of sounds in more complex words and Zayden knows some red words.

Writer of the Week

Congratulations Madison you have lots of gold for glory this week in your dictated story.

Where the Wild Things Are

We made masks for letter W and chose a character from the story, Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak.

We acted out our part in the story as Mrs Hargreaves read us the book.  This story can also be found on youtube.

Duffy Book Award Week 7

Congratulations Hayden for reading and writing well with Ms McGrath and Mrs Wilson.

Letter Xx is in Box

We made a cube box on Friday and drew pictures on the 6 faces of things that have a letter x in their name.

Telling the Time

We made clocks and we are learning to show o'clock times and half past times.

When it is o'clock the big minute hand is on the 12 and when it is a half past time the big minute hand is on the 6.
